Hans-Martin Gärtner from NYTUD forwarded to me the current state of affairs at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; I also read in the newspapers here about the plans of the Orban government.
I, as a member of the Potsdam linguististcs dept., hereby declare my solidarity with the researchers at the academy. I appreciate the profound scientific work which is done there and reject all plans to undermine its autonomy and integrity.
